My Dear Nemesis (You Gotta Read Genesis)
I completely agree with you - negotiations will not be effective nor will peace be achieved if terrorism is still condoned. We’re on the same page - terrorism needs to be denounced in order to continue the ‘peace process’.
However, I think the point I made earlier is still relevant - if genuine academic discussion and debate cannot be achieved amongst Jewish young adults, it’s probably impossible for that to be replicated on a larger level.
Also, re: ‘war amongst ourselves’. Sadly, I disagree with you. I think the current situation and the divide between the left and the right, the religious and the non-religious is steadily growing and becoming more and more severe. Rather than focusing on what unites us as a people, we’re focusing on our differences and further dividing ourselves. As a small people that constitute a tiny fraction of the world’s population this is dangerous attitude. In order to ensure our survival, we must be a united front and act as brothers who truly care and love each other. As Menachem Begin famously said “מלחמת אחים לעולם לא!”

My question would be “When are the nations of the world going to live in peace and harmony?”
