Rocks can kill. But when was the last time anyone was killed by a Palestinian stone thrower? Has anyone been killed? How many?
Now compare that to the number of civilians killed in Operation Cast Lead. Or the number of civilians killed by even rubber bullets fired from IDF guns, let alone “deadly” bullets.
What should we be focusing on?
Yes, people have been killed in the past. I don’t know how many, but fatalities have occurred.
OCL did result in the deaths of many, however what you need to remember is that most killed were militants; and out of the civilians killed, most were as a result of human shielding.
Asher Palmer (25 yo) and his son Yonatan (1 yo) were killed last year when a rock was thrown at Asher’s car as he was driving near Hebron.

After the horrifying Toulouse Massacre that shocked the world earlier this year, senior students in Australia decided that they will not sit back and watch the victims slowly be forgotten. Instead, they initiated a project to ensure they will be remembered by the Jewish world forever. These students have decided the they want to donate a Sefer Torah to the Kotel in memory of the victims of the Toulouse shooting.
However, writing a Sefer Torah costs a lot of money. That’s, where YOU come in!
By pressing the link above, you have the ability to donate money to this project by either buying a letter in the Sefer Torah, buying an entire Parsha, or simply donating an amount of money of your choice. The money you donate will directly contribute to the writing of this special Sefer Torah.

My Dear Nemesis (You Gotta Read Genesis)
I completely agree with you - negotiations will not be effective nor will peace be achieved if terrorism is still condoned. We’re on the same page - terrorism needs to be denounced in order to continue the ‘peace process’.
However, I think the point I made earlier is still relevant - if genuine academic discussion and debate cannot be achieved amongst Jewish young adults, it’s probably impossible for that to be replicated on a larger level.
Also, re: ‘war amongst ourselves’. Sadly, I disagree with you. I think the current situation and the divide between the left and the right, the religious and the non-religious is steadily growing and becoming more and more severe. Rather than focusing on what unites us as a people, we’re focusing on our differences and further dividing ourselves. As a small people that constitute a tiny fraction of the world’s population this is dangerous attitude. In order to ensure our survival, we must be a united front and act as brothers who truly care and love each other. As Menachem Begin famously said “מלחמת אחים לעולם לא!”
terrorists exposed wait we expose them everyday but none gives a f$#k
Wow - way to go in exploring social justice!
Here’s how you really do it.
1. Provide Context
Palestinians throwing stones at settlers and firefighters.
Note: Stone attacks are fatal. Just look at the case of Asher Palmer and his baby son who were killed by a stone attack.
So, the settlers were shooting in self defence.
2. Provide relevant information
Settlers were shooting RUBBER bullets.
In self defence.
Rubber bullets are intended to be a NON-LETHAL weapon.
Rubber bullets are commonly used in self-defence.
There are also accounts saying fires were started by Arabs from the nearby village - the reason why the Yitzhar emergency squad was assembled.
3. Provide proof and evidence.
Linked article includes videos of the event.
While I do not condone shooting or violence - it’s important to look at the bigger picture. Furthermore, since when is it “crime” to defend oneself?
Also note, doesn’t it seem strange that all of this was caught on camera? To me it seems like people wanted to go and make a scene, in order to force settlers into retaliation and further demonise them.
IDF’s Campaign to Prevent Abductions
The IDF is launching a new campaign, aimed at preventing the abduction of soldiers. Most abductions are carried out while soldiers are hitchhiking. This campaign addresses the Gilad Shalit abduction and other attempts, showing Hamas militants trying to kidnap IDF soldiers. Every month, countless intelligence reports point to attempts by terror organizations to kidnap IDF soldiers.
“The goal of the campaign is to inspire changes to the travel habits of soldiers, by having them understand the risk directly and from their families.”
